I love writing romance. Romance is all about emotion and connection between men and women. The male-female bond is one of the most important relationships in anyone's life and I love exploring that relationship through different characters and story lines. One thing I always try to do is present realistic couples with real problems so that readers can see something of themselves in my stories. They see their own foibles or insecurities and also find ways to overcome them. Fans often write me that my books have given them courage to seek love in their own lives. To me, that is the greatest compliment of all.
My next book to come out is NOT THE ONE, which is the fourth book in the Thorne/Ward series and features Nina Ward and Dr. Matthew Peterson. This book is really for the readers because they were my inspiration for writing it. So many folks wrote to me asking for me to tell Nina's story, and not only should I tell her story, I had to pair her up with Matt. Readers met both characters in Once and Again, my third novel.
Currently, I'm working on a special book, part of a Sizzling Sands series BET has in the works for Summer 2004. After that, I'm back to finishing Jim and Liza's story, the sequel to Could It Be Magic? Then there will be one more in the Thorne/Ward series, that features characters you will meet in NOT THE ONE.
